When it comes to packing that much info onto a DVD, the question of quality also has to do with compression. My guess is that the some quality may be lost there. Also, I've seen some of these Treeline...

I've passed this release by due to some of the negative commentary by Laughing Gravy, Dr. Paul Armstrong, and others in this folder, and also due to the fact that I already own some of these on VHS...

Some Mascot serials I like, some I don't. The lack of music never bothers me. In fact, just like the 30s b-westerns, that's just one of their curiously rustic qualities that I find a bit endearing....

I agree about HAWK OF THE WILDERNESS. It's one of the very best serials, and there are still VHS copies around. No legal DVD yet though.

Lost City is a terrible Serial. But it is a Lot Of Fun watching what has to be the most over the top acting, you will ever see. It is a serial that makes no sense and is totally illogical. But a heck...
